Circuit schematic of simple fire alarm using NTC Thermistors

Eltronicschool. - There are many fire alarm circuit schematic developed to help people give alarm when fired in some place. One of the circuit schematic of simple fire alarm is using NTC thermistors as it's fire sensor or detection.

Description

Circuit schematic like in Figure 1 above is Circuit schematic of simple fire alarm using NTC Thermistors. According to Circuitstoday blog describe that the Thermistor resistance controls the voltage across the resistor triggering the transistor switch. As the Thermistor senses an increase in temperature, its resistance decreases, that in turn increases the voltage across the resistor that triggers the transistor switch. The switch triggers the buzzer, hence alerting of a potential fire hazard.

These were some of the basic circuits that use Thermistors. These circuits are developed into advanced circuits to be used in various practical applications. Some of the practical applications include:
  1. Temperature controllers in mobile phone, refrigerators hair dryers etc
  2. Temperature measuring device to monitor temperature of exhaust gas, cylinder head etc.
  3. To monitor temperature to maintain the room temperature at certain desired level.
  4. As a temperature stabilizer in laser diodes and photo elements.
